General Leasing Questions

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

You are welcome to bring additional furniture with you, but don’t forget that all of our apartments are fully furnished. You are welcome to move the furniture around to best suit your preferences, however none of the furniture may be removed from the apartment.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Yes! View your balance, submit electronic check, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover from any computer or smartphone. Visit and click the “Resident Login” button. There is a 3 – 5 percent convenience fee to make payments with credit card, or $1.50 fee for eCheck.

Do I have a meal plan?

Meal plans are not offered at Players Club.

Do you allow pets?

Players Club is a pet friendly community! No more than one animal is permitted in a bedroom and no more than two animals are permitted in an apartment.

How are roommates matched?

Roommates can be matched in a couple different ways – either you tell us who you want to live with, or if you don’t have roommates in mind, we are happy to do the matching for you! We look closely at the information both you and your potential roommates have provided in your application and on your roommate matching card and work to find people that have the same or similar preferences. Although we don’t guarantee a perfect match, you can rest assured that we do our best to find your perfect roommate.

How close to campus are you?

We are located about 1.2 miles from Florida State University, 2.6 miles from Florida A&M University, and 2.3 miles from Tallahassee Community College.

How do our rates compare to on-campus housing rates?

When comparing our rates to on-campus rates you must take into consideration many variables, including floor plan layout, square footage, furniture, utilities and community events. Our leasing staff is available to discuss with you how our rates compare to other housing options and validate that our community offers you the best value for your money, as well as a great location and incredible amenities.

How many people live there?

Every year the total number varies just slightly, but we have room for 592 residents.

If I am over 21 do I need a guarantor?

Yes. All leases are required to have a guarantor. If an approved guarantor cannot be obtained, Greystar will accept a security deposit of two (2) installments.

If I pay in full, do I get a discount?

Players Club does not offer discounts for rent paid in full. However, prepayment gives you the peace of mind knowing that your account is in good standing at all times!

Is parking available?

We have ample free parking for you and for your friends who want to come over and hang out with you. All lot parking is free and is first come, first serve.

What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

You will need a CAT 5 (Ethernet) cable. We have internet outlets in each bedroom and common area. Your computer must be configured properly for the internet to work. Your computer or device must be registered as an active device with our internet service provider. We also have community-wide WiFi.

What if I need to cancel my lease?

Leases are legal contracts for the said term. Residents are responsible for the entire term of the lease. We offer lease re-assignments for a $200 fee. Please see a leasing professional for further details.

What is the cost?

What size are the beds?

Our beds are full-size, extra-long. We suggest you bring queen-sized sheets, which will work well instead of paying higher prices for “special” sized sheets.

What types of leases are available?

We offer 5, 10, and 12 installment leases.

What utilities are included in my monthly installment?

Here is a list of what we provide: Internet in every bedroom and the living room (Ethernet & WiFi) and digital cable in the living room and each bedroom.

When can I move in?

Move in date for Fall 2021 is August 20, 2021 at this time.

When do I put down a deposit?

If you do not have an approved guarantor, you must pay a deposit (equivalent to one and a half (1.5) installments) within 10 days of signing your lease.

When is my first payment due?

Fall 2021 residents will need to pay their first month’s installment by July 15, 2021.

Will you send me a bill for each installment?

We do not send any invoices, but for your convenience, you can use our online resident portal to check your balance at any time. However, payment is due at the first of the month and is considered late after 10:00 AM on the 3rd.

Renewal Questions

Can I request different roommates?

We want you to be comfortable here, and we will do everything we can to accommodate your roommate requests.

What is a "renewal?"

Are you loving it here and can't imagine leaving at the end of your lease? By signing a renewal, you get to extend your stay at Player’s Club!

If I renew, do I have to move out then move back in?

If you have a lease ending in July, you will not have to move out. Your new lease will begin as soon as your old lease ends
If you have a lease ending in May, you will need to move out and then back in again in August.

If I renew, will my guarantor have to sign again?

Yes. You and your guarantor will need to go through the same application and leasing process again.

I'm graduating in December, can I still renew?

You can! We have an extremely limited amount of fall semester leases available. Contact the office for more information!

How do I renew?

Keep an eye out for your renewal offer! This will be sent to the e-mail account set up with your account and will guide you through the process.

When do I start paying the new rent amount?

If you have a lease ending in July, you will start paying your new rent amount on August 1st.
If you have a lease ending in May, you will need to pay your first installment of your new lease by July 15th.
